Hi everyone! I am a busy Mom, wife, Software engineer, workout fanatic, and I am also crazy about Mixed Media and Digital Art. When I have some time to myself I experiment with paints, inks, paper, and all kinds of art products to see what fun I can come up with. If I strike upon a fun technique that is relatively quick and easy, I like to share it in my blog pages. I had a business with a friend called Easy Scraps, but she went on to bigger things at her real job, and decided to exit the crafting world. So I decided to venture back out alone ;-).
I am a Photoshop nut, and I work on digital downloads that I occasionally offer for sale. These include background pages, ready to print card fronts, digital stamps, and scrapbook kits that are ready to print with just the addition of your photos.
I also designed some sheets of rubber stamps, mostly for use by myself, but when I have extras I offer those for sale as well. They are chock full of images so I can squeeze out every little bit of rubber or acrylic out of a single sheet :-). My stamps are unmounted and need to be cut and mounted for your own use.
After a short class to make a Silver ring, I was hooked on metalsmithing! I have been working, learning, creating, and progressing in my skills to the point where I now sell my pieces. I come from a Mixed Media background, so I incorporate materials other than just precious metal and gemstones, unlike more traditional jewelry. My newer work utilizes impression dies rescued from now defunct jewelry houses. I tend to collect designs that are Gothic, Celtic or Victorian in nature- designs with scrolls, beautiful women, flowers, and even gargoyles 😊.
Some designs date back to the late 1800’s and come from shops that were located in places like Rhode Island, Paris and Germany. Please see this page for more about the jewelry and it’s care. I also have a Square site where I tend to post new designs first because it is quicker 😉.
If you have any questions, or have an idea for me to try (I am always looking for blog fodder 😉 ), then please feel free to Contact Me.
Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your visit in my little virtual play space!
