Hi everyone! Today is just a quick update to show you something I’ve mentioned in other leather embossing videos when using paper die cuts and stencils. Initially I didn’t cut the paper to match the leather size so that it was a little bit harder to line up. If I didn’t get it right, then I would have to go back in and trim the leather. That is certainly doable with a rotary cutter. But in this video, I show how I matched the paper stencil to the size of the leather that I was going to emboss, and it ended up doing a much nicer job. I’ll still have to trim the edges once I size them in order to put snaps on them, but the rest of it is pretty easy to then just finish.
This is how I’m doing it now so I thought I’d pass along and show you just in case you are trying this technique.
Enjoy!
