<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Hi Friends! So here’s a fun thing that happened! I was playing around with the Gelli Plate and looked around for something to add texture to a background. I saw a piece of cardstock that I had painted with the Distress Crazing Medium. It had a good deal of crackle texture on it because I had spread the Crazing Medium on pretty thick. I took the cardstock and placed it on the Gelli Plate to transfer some of the texture. Or maybe I was trying to color the crackled cardstock- I forget\u00a0 what exactly I was trying at the moment \ud83d\ude09 .<\/p>\n
In any event, I still had a lot of leftover paint (in a mix of blues and turquoises), so I decided to just brayer some Golden Titan Buff over the top of what was left over and then pulled another print. And cool! I ended up with a ghost print of the the crackle. The ghost print was on just a piece of plain black cardstock, and it picked up the crackle texture. I hadn’t really thought of it leaving so much texture behind to get that crackled look in a second pull! At this point I still had paint left over, so I brayered a little more turquoise paint on and still got a little bit of the crackle texture to transfer.<\/p>\n
So now I am planning on having a sheet of cardstock painted with the crackle as another texture plate, if you will, to use with the Gelli Plate. So yeah, love when surprises work out so well! And aside from the drying of the Original Crackle Paper, it is easily a Take 5 project when all you have is 5 minutes or less!
